Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of manufacturing software has recently completed the implementation of its Unity ERP solution at Michelmersh Brick Holdings Plc, the largest manufacturer of hand-made bricks in the UK. All four brick manufacturing companies within the Michelmersh Group now use the Sanderson solution. The most recent implementation took place at Blockleys Brick Ltd. Established in1894, Blockleys Brick became part of Michelmersh Brick Holdings in 2000. Sanderson has enabled Blockleys to achieve increased confidence in control and management of business performance, with a system that provides accurate stock control and improved visibility across the entire company. To address its needs, the requirement was for a solution that would enable Michelmersh to achieve optimum sales and delivery performance, every time. The company produces machine-made stock facing bricks, extruded wirecut facing bricks, clay paviors and special shaped handmade products. With both a large product range and a large customer base, Blockleys can now use Sales Management facilities within Unity to capture the incoming orders and demands from all sales channels, ensuring high customer satisfaction levels. The Financial Management module in Unity has streamlined the financial processing at Michelmersh. Data is formulated in a way that is relevant for both Blockleys and the entire multi-company organisational structure; providing management with the information required to make educated decisions and reduce costs. Michelmersh has also taken advantage of the latest Business Intelligence software from Sanderson, which has enhanced its ability to produce detailed analyses and accurate reporting on business activities, with control and flexibility.
