Wholesaler customers of software provider Sanderson came away with first, second and third prizes at the Today’s Group recent Member and Supplier Awards, held at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Now in their tenth year, the awards recognise the hard work and commitment of companies within the Today’s Group membership by awarding achievements of excellence. Wholesale companies Filshill, First Choice, and Savage & Whitten were all awarded prizes in the ‘Best Delivered Wholesale’ category. Overall seven out of ten of the awards presented throughout the evening went to Sanderson customers, who have all invested in the Today’s Group preferred wholesale software solution, Swords from Sanderson. The top three businesses have all benefited from the Sanderson solution which is specifically designed for Delivered Wholesale and Cash & Carry operations, helping to balance the demands of sales, purchasing, stock and cash flow. Winners J W Filshill benefit from improved customer service with Swords’ radio frequency technology. Not only does the solution increase picking efficiency in the warehouse, it greatly assists with stock taking, returns and price enquiries. It is also enables Filshill to train staff quickly and effectively. Since installing Swords three years ago, runners up First Choice has enjoyed considerable growth in its business. Radio frequency technology has replaced paper-based systems at Savage & Whitten, which has significantly increased warehouse efficiency. The awards ceremony is an integral part of Today’s Group annual National Exhibition which brings together Today’s Group members and suppliers for key opportunities to learn about developments and news within the group. It is also valued as being an excellent opportunity for enhancing trading relationships between members and suppliers.
