Aimia Foods expands with Sanderson system

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of software solutions for the food and process industries, has won a contract to supply Radio Data Terminals (RDTs) at Aimia Foods’ new warehouse.

Aimia Foods is an independent specialist in hot and cold drinks, with over 25 years experience supplying vending, food service and retail customers, including several blue chip companies.

In 2006 the company chose the Sanderson solution to manage its new 5000 pallet capacity warehouse at its headquarters in Haydock, Merseyside. Impressed by the improved business efficiency and responsiveness they experienced with the system, Aimia has chosen Sanderson to extend these benefits to its new Boston Road warehouse.

Replacing manual paperwork systems, the integrated Sanderson solution uses RDTs to improve warehouse data capture, providing Aimia Foods with total traceability of all stock and all warehouse operations. By avoiding manual data entry the solution reduces errors and ensure accurate stock information is immediately available across the enterprise.

The Sanderson solution reduces the time spent on product picking and enables better stock rotation, helping to increase the shelf-life of products for customers. Scanning orders at the point of despatch achieves greater accuracy, reducing the handling of customer returns and the processing of credit notes whilst improving customer service levels and goodwill.
