Northern Tech Award LogoOne iota, the expert in cloud-based multi-channel retail solutions acquired by Sanderson last year, has been named as a “Rising Star” at the Northern Tech Awards 2014.

The Northern Tech Awards, now in their 4th-year, provide a platform for technology companies to achieve recognition for their success. At the Awards Ceremony, an exclusive group of northern-based businesses were named as Rising Stars.

One iota was selected as a Rising Star as a result of its innovative multi-channel solutions which harness cloud and mobile technologies to deliver a single customer experience across all sales channels. Widely used by leading retailers such as SuperDry, Mamas & Papas and Littlewoods, these innovative solutions have underpinned One iota’s impressive sales growth over the past 12 months.

Damian Hanson, co-founder and CEO of One iota, said: "We are so delighted to win this accolade. This is a testament to the hard work of the whole team at One iota. As a northern-based technology business, being recognised at these Awards is a fantastic acknowledgement of our business achievements.”

The Awards – which were held in Manchester on Thursday 27 March 2014 - were supported and sponsored by Brabners LLP, Business Growth Fund, EV Group, HG Capital, London Stock Exchange, Panmure Gordon & Co, Silicon Valley Bank and UBS Wealth Management. The BVCA and Manchester Grammar School have also provided significant research support.

The judges’ panel included Chris Allen, founder of Laterooms; Simon Clark chairman of the BVCA; Garry Partington, chief executive, RealityMine; Steve Purdham, founder of Three Rings; Charles Sharland, founder of AppSense; and Alan White ex-chief executive of N Brown.
