“We decided to implement the Email module with a view to initially using it to remove the paper element of our Purchase Orders. The implementation was really very painless and easy. Very little work was needed prior to implementation and use of the system was quickly adopted. After a few weeks we completely stopped the printing of any Purchase Orders promoting savings in both time and paper, and also freeing up a printer. We are now able to keep emailed copies on our network providing visibility to all staff to view historically. It has been a real success.”

This function sends email alerts to appropriate staff or groups of staff following specific actions on the Formul8 system. This option has streamlined many of our processes, generating a much more efficient operation. For example:

• Entry of or amendment to a sales order sends an email alert to the appropriate Account Manager for that particular sales order.
• Entry of an Export Sales Order causes an email to go to export administration staff so that documents can be processed more quickly.
These workflow emails are proving very useful in generating timely information automatically in circumstances which previously relied on manual processes or staff remembering to inform others.”
