Capacity Planning & Production Scheduling with Unity ERP

Unity ERP software provides intuitive and flexible shop-floor scheduling, using graphical displays of shop-floor capacity and load. With Unity’s Manufacturing Planning functions, you can:

  • Reschedule jobs
  • Create work-to lists
  • Identify overloads and shortages

Manufacturing Planning functions

With Unity you can view jobs, operations, and resources in an intuitive ‘planning board’ display. This supports:

  • Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP)
  • Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS): Unity has dynamic links to constraint-based planning tools such as Preactor

You can use Unity to identify:

  • Jobs and operations, by schedule & sequence
  • Resources & properties assigned to a job or operation
  • Resource shortages
  • Job impact

…and generate work-to-lists for each resource. These can viewed on shop floor touch-screens by production staff: see Shop Floor Data Collection.

Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP)

Used in the traditional role of developing an achievable manufacturing plan, based on Material Requirements Planning output. This allows the production department to plan and control the shop floor at the detail level. Unity supports priority planning and enables planning to be managed down to the second.
