Retail-J EPoS

Retail-J delivers more than just traditional EPoS functions. It is a tool which enables you to not only process transactions, but also to cross and up-sell, perform stock and price checks, run personalised promotions and significantly enhance customer service. Subject to user roles and policies, any web-based application can be accessed from the EPoS terminal, providing you with all the tools you need to improve operator productivity

Security

Retail-J EPoS is PCI ready and provides fully integrated Chip & PIN functionality; removing the need for a 3rd party application. User entry to the EPoS can be via traditional username & password, user fob, card swipe or biometrics and is ‘role’ protected so users have permissions relevant to their position. Application alerts are triggered to key staff should irregularities occur.

Item sale & tracked returns

Items are bar-coded and product images and attributes can be displayed, returned items are protected with bar-coded receipts and where no receipt is available, the original transaction can be recalled within Retail-J EPoS. Return histories are recorded and shared across the estate; ensuring the same item cannot be returned multiple times. Outstanding liability on gift cards and credit notes is provided in real-time confirming your commitments.

Stock Control

The Retail-J EPoS solution can assist operators in ascertaining stock availability, identifying stock location and arranging delivery or store transfer.

Voids/Over-rides/Discounts

Retail-J EPoS supports both item level and transaction level voids, discounts and over-rides. These can be controlled by introducing authorisation levels, amount and value descriptions or by reason codes.

User prompts & alerts

Prompts, alerts & warnings can be set up in Retail-J EPoS to assist colleagues in events such as identification of up-sell opportunities, alerting to age restricted sales and general till based activities such as pick-ups.

Rechargeable giftcards

Retail-J EPoS supports activation and charging of giftcards as well as card merger, cancellation and re-issue. Transaction information is ‘fast-tracked’ to the Estate Manager ensuring that the card cannot be used before the value is refreshed. Sanderson also offers Electronic Giftcard Plus which enables you to offer your giftcards for sale at other retailer outlets.

Customer ordering & CRM

Customer accounts can be set up within Retail-J EPoS tracking; orders, spending, delivery details and surveys. Orders can be taken, along with deposits, and subsequent payments tracked. To enhance customer service, SMS messages can be used to communicate that the order is ready for collection.

Promotions

Retail-J boasts what is commonly recognised as the market leading promotions engine.  Promotions are set up within the Estate Manager and can be broadcast to your entire estate, regional stores or specific locations. Promotions can be timed to support promotional evenings, product launches or ‘happy hour’ style events. Promotions can also be targeted to specific customer types, such as members of selected loyalty schemes. Retail-J supports all manner of promotional types, a selection of which are listed below:
Percentage discounting (bundle/cheapest/dearest/closest), fixed discount value, fixed bundle price, cheapest/dearest free, additional loyalty points, promotional vouchers.

Web access & email

Internet access can also be obtained from the Retail-J EPoS, with access managed by roles. Web access provides a way to extend product offerings in stores where sales space is limited or items are out of stock. This facility can also be used to verify price comparison.
Emails can be sent without the need for a separate programme, with a governing administrator assigned to define user access.

Multi-media

Retail-J supports a number of media to enhance the in-store shopping experience. Customer facing displays or big screens can be used to promote new services or products. Transaction details can also be displayed on a customer facing screen, allowing the customer to verify the purchase details and gain greater interaction at the till.
