In addition to Retail-J’s core retail applications (explained here) the system also supports:
Multimedia
Media Channels can be set up and playlists associated with them to play a variety of media in-store. These can be stand alone images, movies or web pages. Retail-J from Sanderson can then ‘run’ the media at various intervals during the day on customer facing displays or screens around the store.
Customer Ordering and CRM
As standard within Retail-J, customer accounts can be set up and maintained. It is therefore possible to track all customer activity including spending and orders. Any order can be tracked to the point where it is received in-store via ‘goods-in’, where, once partially or completely delivered, the customer can be notified via email or SMS.
Electronic Gift Cards
Retail-J offers this functionality as standard from the POS, so that new cards can be activated and charged with any amount and subsequently topped up. Advanced functionality also allows the value of multiple cards to be merged onto one card, and the cancellation and re-issue of lost/replacement cards.
Intuitive User Interfaces/Graphical User Interfaces
Little or no instruction is required with our POS system, therefore training requirement costs, even for temporary staff, are minimal. Additionally, you can configure POS applications to emulate traditional and familiar screen operations.
