Wholesaler Dee Bee invests in the latest voice and ePOD solutions
Dee Bee selects two solutions following a review of the latest software from long term IT partner Sanderson. The latest voice directed warehouse management system and the electronic proof of delivery system (ePOD) have been chosen to increase efficiency and improve customer service across its growing delivered wholesale business.
The voice directed technology is being installed in both Grimsby and Hull depots. The system sends picking instructions to warehouse staff using speech recognition via a wireless headset and microphone, for accurate hands-free order picking and intelligent routing. The ePOD system is being installed across the company’s expanding fleet of vehicles to enable staff to capture customer acceptance signatures and carry out delivery amendments at customer sites.
