Oncore Foodservice leaps forward with new Wholesale System from Sanderson

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of software solutions to the Delivered Wholesale and Cash & Carry industries, has won a contract to supply its Wholesale Distribution system to Oncore Foodservice Solutions Ltd.

Based in Lancashire, Oncore Foodservice Solutions is an independent wholesaler supplying the food service industry. They provide a vast range of over 4,000 products from chilled, ambient, frozen and non-food items. As a member of the UK’s largest buying consortium, Nisa Today’s, Oncore benefit from group buying power, offering their customers the best prices on branded and own label products.

Oncore has made a significant investment in relocating to a new purpose built warehouse and distribution centre which has enabled them to increase their product range. To support this expansion Oncore had been looking for an IT solution that would improve the overall efficiency of their business.

Oncore needed to replace an old warehouse management system with a more modern, sophisticated yet simple to use solution that would allow them to grow the business. They found the answer with Sanderson and the Swords solution.

Oncore chose the Swords system as it fully integrates all wholesale operations, managing the demands of telesales, purchasing, pricing stock and warehouse management.

Oncore has also selected Radio Frequency scanners from Sanderson to improve warehouse productivity. These deliver improved accuracy as stock errors/variances are quickly identified, at the delivery stage.

Oncore will use the latest Symbol wrist terminals for order picking, which allow staff to scan the goods hands free, leaving both hands available to pick the goods, resulting in a faster picking time.
