We were delighted to host our first event in collaboration with Datalogic at their UK office in St Albans last month. ‘Evolving your warehouse automation in 2018 and beyond’ was well attended by a mixture of customers and prospects, eager to learn more about the latest warehousing trends and solutions.
The half-day session featured a series of informative presentations from Sanderson, Datalogic, the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) and Ensign Communications, and we rounded off the morning with a hot topic panel debate.
We kicked off with an opening presentation from Peter Ward, Chief Executive of the UKWA. Peter shared their thoughts and insights on the global political and economic climate in the context of the global supply chain ecosystem and its impact on UK businesses, highlighting increased complexity and the need for greater agility in warehousing and logistics.
Jason Colbridge (Sanderson) then briefed the audience on how customers are using the Elucid solution to support their businesses and the vital role Elucid plays in managing warehousing and logistics for omni-channel retailers. Key statistics validated how Elucid supports business growth and how we are helping customers to achieve more efficiency in their warehouses. Jason also discussed the key points for evaluating the benefits of automation over paper.
After the break, Reg Koster, our Channel Manager from Datalogic provided an insightful presentation, sharing his 10 current trends and considerations in warehouse automation before embarking on an engaging Hot Topic and Q&A session with Ed Holden from Manufacturing and Logistics IT.
After much discussion and debate, we wrapped up the event with a networking lunch. The Datalogic showroom offered a relaxed event space for our guests to chat to each other and share experiences whilst refueling on one of the hottest days of the year so far.
Thank you so much to all who joined us! We look forward to welcoming everyone to our next event.
