Claud Butler is located in Brigg, North Lincolnshire and has been providing cycles to the market for well over 125 years. The story began in 1880 when Fred Hopper established a cycle repair business in Barton on Humber. Bicycle repairs soon turned into a cycle manufacturing business, and by 1906 F Hopper and Co employed over 400 people, and developed overseas markets.

Continuing growth and acquisitions established that company as a leader in their field. Nowadays the company is called Claud Butler and forms part of the Tandem Group, while operating as an individual business. Their product ranges from children’s bikes to mountain, touring, city, BMX, men's bikes, women's bikes, sports bikes and specialist lightweight racing thoroughbreds.
