Seamless integration with existing SAP system

Danone, the fresh dairy business behind Britain’s fastest growing yogurt brands Activia, Shape and Actimel, has gone live with Proteus WMS. The system is used to pick, pack and ship their famous brands throughout Ireland and the UK.

Proteus WMS has been seamlessly integrated to Danone’s SAP system. Initialing utilising RF scanning, the plan involves migrating to voice instructions in the near future.

Danone chose leading third party logistics (3PL) organisation PRL Group to store and ship their products, based upon PRL’s experience in chilled, frozen and ambient food storage, their hygienic operation, and their proven track record of delivering goods to the right place on time.

Howard Turvey of Proteus Software comments, “I am very pleased that we continue to work closely with PRL Group. We have provided a number of their clients with a system interface to their customers ERP, including SAP, JD Edwards and Sage. This allows customers to have an overview of the stock held within the PRL warehouse, and the number of completed transactions. Reports are sent automatically to the client from the WMS without any human intervention.”
