Five months after implementation productivity is increasing

Chris Illingworth, Operations Director at Widdop Bingham, sees the many benefits the system has brought in less than 5 months of the successful go-live. He is confident that the new system will give warehouse operatives the ability to complete stocked items orders efficiently and speed up order processing, enabling Widdop to have more throughput through the warehouse.

Proteus WMS gives visibility of the order as it is being processed, with every step of the process traceable. Reporting is automatic, and reports can be sent to the operations team on a minute by minute, hour by hour, weekly, monthly or even annual basis. There is the ability to produce historical reports as required via a text message, to a mobile phone or output to a file as required.

Larry Walls, Head of Operations, echoes the benefits saying “We used to have an order checking system that required 4-5 staff ensuring that the correct items had been picked. This process has been eliminated entirely as the system has increased accuracy levels, and we now pick straight to packing.
