Turner-Price reduces picking errors by 70% using Sanderson Voice solution

Sanderson, the publicly owned UK provider of software solutions to the Delivered Wholesale and Cash & Carry industries, has recently implemented its Voice Directed Warehouse Management System (WMS), at long-standing Sanderson customer Turner-Price. 

Integrated with the Sanderson wholesale IT solution, Swords, Voice Directed WMS increases order picking accuracy, speeds up picking time and reduces costly picking errors.

Based in Hull, fresh and frozen food wholesaler Turner-Price serves over 1200 customers in the hotels, pubs and restaurants sectors with a wide range of catering supplies, non-food items and food products, and is a member of the renowned Country Range buying group. The company has joined an increasing number of wholesalers who are reaping the benefits of voice technology.

Turner-Price are experiencing first-hand how the Voice WMS system has improved efficiency and productivity across their warehouse operations. Using headsets and microphones, pickers communicate with the warehouse management system by providing answers to structured questions, quickly identifying the stock to be selected and moving on. The system also increases the number of orders picked as pickers hands are free enabling them to move around the warehouse faster. Additionally, the system generates savings by lowering the costs of processing returns and credits as a result of more accurately picked orders.
