Leading toy company and long-standing Proteus customer continues to grow

Vivid Imaginations, founded in 1992 by Nick Austin and Alan Bennie (ex Matchbox), turned over in excess of £9.8million in its first year of operation. With continuing success the company quickly became one of the 10th fastest growing companies in the UK, and now has a turnover in excess of £76million.

Vivid, who have been a Proteus customer from business start up, continually invest in their IT, ensuring delivery of their goods throughout Europe. As part of their expansion plans a recent decision was made to invest further in their IT with the Proteus WebEngine to handle the ordering of goods over the internet.

Proteus WebEngine has been specifically designed for ease of use for the end user. Customers, Sales Agents, and internal staff can log into the system and order goods directly, check the status of orders and view existing stock levels. The system interfaces with Proteus WMS, and orders are automatically sent for picking and shipping.

As a result of using the Proteus WebEngine customer service is increased, customer lock-on is obtained, and cost of sale can be reduced significantly, providing real business benefits.

David Gray, MD of Proteus, congratulates Vivid on their continued growth and is delighted with their continuing use of the Proteus system, helping them to expand into new territories, offering a complete range of services to their clients.
